CYP Board of Directors

CYP's Board is made up of current members who volunteer their time, energy and even expertise for a one-year term, beginning in September each year. The current Board is made up of the following members:

2007 - 2008 Board of Directors

Personal and professional commitments, as well as relocation, sometimes result in Board changes during the fiscal year. We are currently looking for enthusiastic individuals to serve on a variety of committees. If you would like to improve the club, consider volunteering - it's fun, a great resume builder and the best way to help shape events and the future of CYP. We invite all interested current CYP members to contact Rusty Toth to learn more.

President - Rusty Toth

CYP's President is the official representative of CYP and implements ongoing club policy in conjunction with the Board of Directors. The President presides at all CYP Board meetings and is an ex-officio member of all standing committees.

Secretary - Stacey Hansen

CYP's Secretary keeps accurate minutes of all proceedings of the CYP Board and meetings of the general membership. The Secretary maintains the membership roster.

Treasurer - Stacey Hansen

The CYP Treasurer has general supervision of the financial affairs of the club and keeps the financial records and books of account. The Treasurer receives and disperses all CYP funds. The Treasurer prepares the proposed annual budget for approval by the Board and makes monthly reports to the Board on the financial condition of CYP.

Events Chair - Grier McCain

The Events Chair coordinates the CYP calendar and plans social events. A wide variety of events and activities are planned around our members' varied interests. The Events Chair hosts a bi-monthly planning meeting to solicit event ideas and layout the events calendar. The Events Chair finds hosts and collects event descriptions for publication in weekly email calendar updates.

Membership Chair - Kira Fernandes

The Membership Chair is responsible for promoting membership in the club and attendance at club meetings and events. The Membership Chair acts as an ambassador to promote fellowship among members, and make new and prospective members feel welcome at events. The Membership Chair is the member's direct liaison with the Board.

Community Outreach Chair - Susan Wright

The Outreach Chair organizes CYP's interaction with non-profit charitable organizations including volunteer opportunities for CYP members and collection of donations of gifts, goods and funds for various organizations.

Business Development Chair - Don Bobbitt

The Business Development Chair facilitates CYP's interaction with local businesses including corporate sponsorships, press releases, co-hosting of events, organizational recruitment, and business networking events.

Special Events Chair - Chris Payne

The Special Events Chair organizes and coordinates four major quarterly events per year including: Annual Membership Party, Winter/Holiday Party, Foxfield, and one other major party during the year.

Recreation Chair - Roderick Graf

The Sports and Rec Chair organizes sporting and other recreational events such as ski trips, white water rafting trips, tubing, softball team, volleyball team, bowling, golf, hiking, biking, and ice skating events.

Board Members at Large - Cathy Wolfe & Wendy Steesy

Board Members at Large are typically previous Board members who stay on the Board in an ad hoc role to assist with special projects and provide guidance and oversight to the rest of the Board. The immediate Past President typically stays involved on the Board as a Board Member at Large for continuity.

Joining the Board

We are also always looking for members to assist the committees for each chair, so if you would like to participate directly in making CYP an even better organization (even if you're a brand new member; all are welcome!), please contact the appropriate chair or email the general mailbox at info@cypinc.org.

Additionally the Board has considered having a Board position for the following interest areas. Please let us know if this is something you would like to initiate or participate in.

Marketing/PR

The Marketing Chair is responsible for developing all CYP marketing and public relations strategies and coordinating all related activities. The primary goals are to promote membership in the club and attendance at club events.
